HouseLog Terms of Service

Welcome to HouseLog! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HouseLog web site, mobile application and related services ("App") provided by HouseLog Inc. ("HouseLog," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the App.

BY CLICKING "I ACCEPT," ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD, AND, AS A CONDITION TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY, THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING HOMELOG'S PRIVACY POLICY (TOGETHER, THESE "TERMS"). If you are not eligible, or do not agree to the Terms, then you do not have our permission to use the Service. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, AND HOMELOG'S PROVISION OF THE SERVICE TO YOU, CONSTITUTES AN AGREEMENT BY HOMELOG AND BY YOU TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, including any additional guidelines, rules, and policies referenced herein. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

Description of Service

HouseLog is a web site and mobile application designed to assist homeowners in managing their property-related tasks and information. The App provides features such as home inventory management, maintenance scheduling, expense tracking, document storage, and communication tools for homeowners and service providers.

User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you may be required to create a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. HouseLog reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided is inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete.

Use of the App

(a) Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

(b) Compliance: You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms.

(c) Restrictions: You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or servers connected to the App.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security-related features of the App.
  • Transmit any viruses, worms, malware, or any other code of a destructive nature.
  • Use any automated means or interface not provided by HouseLog to access the App or extract data.
  • Upload data, images or video using the web site or app that is illegal or inappropriate. Only data related to your home, its inventory or records can be uploaded to our servers.

Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property Rights

The App and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the property of HouseLog or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, modify, distribute, or display any portion of the App without our prior written consent.

Data you share with us such as your house information, images or videos, files (such as PDFs), dimensions, rooms, etc is your data. We can purge all of your data from our servers upon request. Please note however that if other users have been added to your house (ex: your spouse, children or handymen), they must first be dis-associated as house managers. Furthermore, if you transfer the house to another user (ex: after a sale, transaction, rental or any other reason) you will not be able to manage or delete the house or its data from our servers.

Disclaimers

(a) No Warranty: The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. HouseLog does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

(b) Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, HouseLog and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the App.

Termination

HouseLog may suspend or terminate your access to the App, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason without notice or liability. Upon termination, these Terms will also terminate, except for provisions that are intended to survive termination.

Modifications to Terms

HouseLog reserves the right to modify or revise these Terms at any time. The most current version of the Terms will be posted on the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes to the Terms signifies your acceptance of those changes.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Jurisdiction].
